☩ This 40-rows hairpipe breastplate is one of my most favorite breastplates and, in my opinion, — one of the most beautiful models of Native American brestplates in general; it is the quintessential of the ideal Indian dance breastplate in all it's simple beauty, which is given by a harmonious design, an irresistibly pleasing combination of dark brown leather, patinated brass and red Venetian beads, various tricky pieces like a shell medallion with an ermine pelt, hair pendants wrapped into shell cartridges, rich fringes: and all is the stuff but not the fluff.
☩ Made by me as an exact copy of the original Lakota breastplate handcrafted for me by a prominent native American Artist Joe. All parts have been artificially aged to look and feel like a real old artifact from the Buffalo days.
☩ Even if for you an Indian is a turkey husband (муж индейки — Ha-Ha!), as a lot of my fellow citizens sincerely think, it's still difficult to remain indifferent when looking at such a beauty!
