“Pectoral” — is a Plains warrior's insignia and a badge of military or social rank in the shape of a large single or double-barred metal cross, with small crescent shaped ornaments known as naja suspended from the arms of the cross and featuring various designs engraved onto it's arms. They were worn around neck suspended by a handkerchief, silk ribbon or buckskin cord.
